Mohair is a fibre that is well known for its properties of warmth and comfort. It therefore produces socks that are ideal when you want warm and comfortable feet
Hard Wearing
Mohair is a very hard wearing fibre and is used for fabrics in aircraft seats for this reason. Many of our customers tell us that they have purchased ‘good quality’ socks from well known stores and they have worn out within 3 or 4 months. Whereas their Capricorn Mohair Socks are still wearing well!
Machine Washable
You can wash your Mohair socks in a washing machine on a warm wool wash cycle, without worrying about excessive shrinkage. When we visit shows selling our socks it’s not unusual for customers to proudly bring their Capricorn Mohair Socks they bought the previous year and show us how well they have worn and washed.
Do not smell after use!
If you look at wool under a microscope you see little burrs. These burrs provide a hiding place for bacteria that make wool socks smell. Mohair is a smooth fibre and has no hiding places for bacteria and that is why Mohair Socks do not smell!!

If you do have sensitive skin, why not try a pair of our cream coloured socks, they are not dyed to are kinder and softer on your feet.

Love Capricorn socks. I’ve tried others but they’re just not a patch on these. Comfortable, warm and last forever. They’re simply the best socks I’ve ever had.

These socks aren't as thick as my usual ones - which I'll never go back to as long as I can get these BTW - and these don't have flat seams - they're 'old school' - but that just doesn't matter. Zero friction and total comfort, mile after mile after mile. I'm hooked.

I spend my working days in wellies, and have tried various socks, but have always ended up with an uncomfortable walk later in the day. I found Capricorn socks online and after reading the positive reviews I decided to invest in the Yorkshire socks. I have certainly not been disappointed. Well worth the cost. I now have comfortable feet all day. Considering I bought these socks during the warmer months, they are thick yet breathable, so my feet do not get hot in my wellies. These socks are perfect, and I would definitely recommend.
Have not yet worn the Yorkshire socks but I like what I see. It's good to have a long mid-calf sock after a long time.

I needed some socks for my job working in a brewery, the Yorkshire Mohair socks are perfect to wear with my wellies and keep my feet comfy and dry quickly too.
Fantastic material, construction and service from Capricorn. These sock are some of the best. As a constructive point, I do think the socks could be improved by extending the padding/reinforcement further up the heel and adding more elastic tension to the sock, eg Lycra
