We thought it was time to give you a proper behind-the-scenes update.
In the video above, Jon and Tracy take you inside the warehouse to show exactly where things stand with stock, what’s coming back in, and how we’re preparing for the months ahead.
First things first… thank you.
Last Christmas was unlike anything we’ve experienced before. Demand was incredible and, quite simply, the shelves were cleared. It was a brilliant problem to have, but it did mean we started the new year with very little left.
Since then, we’ve been working hard to rebuild.
What’s Happening with Stock?
Over the past few weeks, deliveries have been arriving steadily from our knitters in Leicester. We don’t produce everything at once. Instead, we work in batches, typically one colour and one style at a time across all sizes.
That means stock comes back in gradually rather than all at once.
Right now, we’re seeing some of your favourites returning, including:
- Derbyshire socks in navy, thistle and green
- Surrey socks, which were especially popular before Christmas
We’ll continue this steady replenishment over the next few months until we’re back to full stock across the range.
Why Some Orders Are Waiting
You’ll also notice in the video that we’ve got trade orders already picked and packed.
These were placed earlier in the year at trade shows, but many retailers quite rightly don’t want delivery until their season begins. So we prepare the stock, set it aside, and hold it ready to go at exactly the right time.
It’s all about timing.
Looking Ahead to Summer
As we move out of winter, the focus naturally shifts.
The Derbyshire remains a firm favourite for colder months, but heading into spring and summer, attention turns to lighter options.
That’s where the Skye sock comes in.
Launched last year, this shorter, lightweight sock has been one of our most interesting developments. It’s breathable, comfortable in warmer conditions, and reflects how people are actually wearing socks now, not just on the hills, but day-to-day as well.
In my view, it’s opened the door to a whole new side of the business.

Stock is coming back in week by week, the shelves are filling up again, and we’re looking forward to a strong year ahead.
